"Crypto Waves, AI Rockets"

Here's your daily briefing:

  • Calling all developers interested in generative AI!

  • This tweet by Emad Mostaque:

Led us to this report by Sequoia Capital on generative AI from back in September:

  • We mentioned Metaphor yesterday, a search engine based on generative AI. There seems to be a healthy debate currently making its way through Twitter about whether these tools will actually displace or augment Google as the supreme search engine or if it's all a big nothing burger:

  • Just over a billion seconds ago this little idea called the World Wide Web was proposed by two guys named Tim and Robert:

  • Interesting take from George Hotz. Is it fair to compare crypto to AI in this way? They're both obviously "big things," but crypto was by nature a wave that anyone willing to do the research could ride, due to its inherent financial nature. Will AI be the same? Will there be something like an "ICO bubble" in AI where savvy retail investors can bet on this burgeoning space? Or will the gains be more localized to accredited investors or the builders themselves?

The comparative rate of growth of AI certainly seems rocket-like. To the moon?
